two of my most influential soul divas in music today. who would you say is on top when it comes to belting out the soul?

    Tough call there. I'd have to say sharon is in front, but mainly only due to the Dapkings. Don't always feel the beats that Alice sings over. They are both amazing singers.

    Both great singers indeed, although I prefer Sharon's voice..
    Plus she's a beast on stage! Her live shows are amazing, so much energy..
    credit to the Dap Kings too of course..

    That is a tough call.
    I never in my life thought I'd ever hear another white girl cover a Teena Marie classic and actually come better!

    mos-def a tough call. personaly i think the one thing that would put sharon on top of the game at struttin her soul would be the live act.
    i've never seen anyone her age perform with the energy of a 13 year old girl
