it sounds like you just sucked at it...

Um, NO, it was just the most annoying game ever. I hated being NEAR it.
I hated having to hear it at all. It was designed to annoy, and
    it was very successful.

yeah.... not to put on a "fake mature" voice, but when it came out it drove me crazy, I was 12 and yes, i remember punching that machine), but somewhere around high school, i would play that game just to be like 'oh you little bastard, i'm going to shut you up!" and it works when he's like "hey pal, what are you doing" and freaking out...

this game is my favorite shit. its kinda new (came out in 1999). this "3d" version pictured is actually kind of wack. but we had the non 3d version at a place i worked and it was the bomb. it played like a video game, with you having to destroy the spaceships and going from city to city defending the world. dope game.

  • shit, this is a good thread. I fucking love everything about pinball machines. I loved me some Tales From The Crypt...and Funhouse was annoying, but I enjoyed it. I played a few old school games(pre digital) a lot...when I think of when I first starting smoking weed, I think of playing one certain old school pinball machine. And wouldnt you know I cant remember what the name of it was..how ironic.

Attack from mars was my shit! Never stepped up to revenge from mars though. past my time. My other top 2 would be midieval madness and going way back, theatre of magic.

all by the same brand, i forget the name though...they had the flipper action on lock. looking back, i think their flippers were just slightly magnetized so you could bring the ball down to the tip of the flipper on the slow and then let it fucking rip millliseconds before you were about to lose it. those games were like hitting a golf ball with a 1 iron vs, hitting it with a 7. no comparison. no other brands ever came close to that shit.

Ya bally and williams are def the best makers, some absolute classics. Anyone in Toronto know of arcades that still have some classic pinball machineS?

  • Massive Revenge from Mars pic

Yes, the 3D one was fun in its own way too though. Extremely fast and frustrating.
Cosignin' on [ STAR TREK tNG ][ Adams Family ] [Indian Jones ]

As a youngster we stopped at this massive modern style rest area on the highway to Chicago. There was an Indiana Jones machine that gave you free matches (free game) if you held down both flipper buttons, the start button, and the ball-in button/trigger all at the same time. Played that shit four games in a row on two quarters and still had the money for curly-friiiies

    NEVER-EVER

  • 1. absolute best ever machine ever made. Black Knight 2000
    2. Medieval Madness
    3. Attack From Mars
    4. Creature From the Black Lagoon
    5. TIE: twilight zone, addams fam., fish tales, monster madness, and a number of other bally/williams
    machines from that era.

I can't find a pictue of it, but anybody remember the "Cobra" machine based on the Sylvester Stallone movie of the same name? From circa 1996. I remember loving this one back in my college days...

    5 star thread!

Me and my friend Jonas used to play a LOT maybe 3 years ago and he's a somewhat heavy guy with a lot of strength in him and he's also a monster pinball player, did stuff like get over 100 ramps on Star Wars so the counter went back to zero again and that's damn hard to get that many ramps on that game, also i've seen him tilt Guns n Rose pinball into a wall so the top fell down and crushed the glass, had to sneak out to not get busted..

I love most of the games i've played that you guys have posted so far BUT what are the worst pinball machines then?

    I really don't like these:

Dr Who (could've been fun but too much "catch the doctor bzzzz bzzz catch the doctor" and vibrating shit..)
Cactus Canyon (not so bad but soooo ugly and boring if you play it much)
Junkyard ( i hate that game)

    nice thread,
i actually owned a captain fantastic pinball when i was in montreal (when we threw parties the machine made more money than we did) but it has been scientifically proven that the best pinball of all time is none other than:

    TWILIGHT ZONE

HELL YES, best ever imo, don't even know how much time and quarters I spent on this machine.

yep. i liked the plungers with the spring too, so you could smack that damn thing instead of pull and release.
