hey... anybody got that link from WFMU with Tom Scharpling...thanks! and please!

I had it on my site for awhile but took it down 'cos it was taking up too much server space. I saw the guy who played the music snob, Jon Wurster, after I posted it the first time and told him everyone here on SoulStrut thought it was funny. He very eloquently responded, "Hey, cool!"

I don't think I have the file anymore but I'll try to remember to get the CD tonight and re-post an MP3 tomorrow.

That cake we baked was pretty swell too!

  • This is too funny...I almost spit out my coffee when he said he was gonna name his store after a Harry Partch piece.

"If you don't have the guts to come in and say 'I don't know ANYTHING about good music, show me what is good," then you don't deserve to shop in my store."

"I mean, that's harsh. I mean, you can agree that's harsh, right?"

"No. I think that's straight shooting."

    "The Monkees. That's hilarious"

"I mean, I might go so far as to listen to the First National Band....but that's really pushing it."

    LMFAO

by the way, I forwarded this to some of my old bandmates(who have frequently BEEN this guy when they are not careful) and they all laughed their asses off too..

  • "The Stones were so bloated by [1969]."

    Uh...

"Jim was so on that night."

    "Who?"

"Well, you know him as Iggy Pop."

I love when he says that The Beatles were almost as boring as The Stones. "It was nice ear candy...."

EDIT: Ha! This guy's too funny. I just googled him and found this:

I'm so glad it's not real. Although he'd fit right in on this board.

No way is this guy for real. Sounds like he's takin' the piss. And doing a fine job of it, too!

    about 27 minutes into it.

    "what are those songs?"

  • Thats fucking hilarious!!! I think everyone knows "the guy" he parodies.

Jon is a natural born comedian IRL and a super nice guy on top of that. Not sure what kind of music he's into, though. That whole BEER BUSTS... double-CD is hilarious if ya'll like this clip.
