The Akai MPC1000?

So i have been shopping for samplers and i was looking at 2 of them, The Akai MPC2500 and the MPC1000. I dont have that much money so i was looking more towards the MPC1000, but i was asking anyone if they knew if theres a huge diffrence between the two. If anyone has a MPC1000 i would like to know your opinion.
