I came up classicrockbootlegraer at an older dudes bongout rock pad:

the 4lp doors one is apparently super duper hard to find. the color cover doors one
is SS. i stayed away from some random concert ones, and stuck mostly to tv/outtakes
type aterial. the sound quality on all of this stuff is quite good, and they seem
unplayed or hardly so. nice additions to the rock piles.

also i came across a random old A+M records shipping box at a used bookstore,
and they gave it to me. its sorta cool i guess.

  • Got these yesterday at the store, Records in Sacramento.

Nothing to serious cuz I know that cats at SS have extensive libraries- but they were all $3.50. A steal I think.....

Flea turned out pretty good today, mostly VG+ doubles for trade/sale, none more than $2/each:

Millie Jackson: CAUGHT UP (w/ extra VG- copy of record)
Cecil Holmes: BLACK MOTION PIC EXPERIENCE (German press)
FUNERAL IN BERLIN OST (sealed) - 2 copies
France Joli: Gonna Get Over You 12" (pic sleeve w/ extra copy of record)
Bert Kaempfert: NOW (2 cool tracks, someone made loot on this awhile back)
Tubes: White Punks on Dope 12" (UK pic sleeve)

but most importantly, TWO SEALED $2 copies of INNER SOUNDS OF THE ID.

Aw yeah - Boston came out in full force for the
first of hopefully many Jamaica Plain Vinyl Yard Sale
    & Record Swaps...Soul Strut was well-represented, and
everyone was flippin' & grippin' in the afternoon sun
with a beer in hand. Big thanks to all who came out,
it was a great time meeting the SS massive, and we all made $$$
and copped records! A few flix:

The Brother Axe-Foley hides behind Mtume while his better half represents

The hommies P-Gunn and KitchenKnight ... staring in amazement
    at the CTI Hustler?? (realheadzknow)

Waxidermist/Soul Strut MIA Bearded D digs for fire...

My man D*na, who CLEANED UP with his punk CD's, banking a nice
chunk of change ... and the mysterious Ms. Van Doren, who had deep
crates of her own, and hit me off with some 7" soul gems...

Some pulls from the swap, and some internet goodies from the last week:

    Lou Courtney =

Some sevens, a few from local spots, a few from the swap:

A couple Boston folk/psych joints picked up on the cheap in Cambridge,
and a big shout to Ga*eth for the trade on the Gal EP, which is doooope!

The swap was a big hit, thanks again to everybody, and if you missed out,
we all agreed to do it again at summer's end, so get in early next time,
sell some records and cop some heat!
