Denver, Colorado do the Strut?

Just wondering if anyone here lives in Denver, or has been there before, can help a brotha out with an introduction of the city as far as music venues, weeklys/monthlys, food spots, shops, RECORDS, college radio, and just general "to do's" around town. I am probably moving there this Fall for school (U of D) and know next to nada about it besides dem Broncos and Nuggets. So far I've only heard that it has a decent hip-hop scene and has some cool skate spots. And I'm not much of an outdoorsman or snowboarder, either. Coming from Cali, I figure I'll have to get used to the colder climate. Better bring my coats?
