we put a breaks track/mix out a short while ago called Riot AT The Flea Market, the concept was that i mixed together breaks that my boy Nick the Brooklynite had dug up within the span of a year and i had my other hommie dj ScratchMagic lay down all cuts on top to give it live feel, you guys might be able to guess a beat or two...?
damn this is pretty raw. what's that first break? And the one at 3:21? I think I want a copy of this 45. Trade? Also, is that a faux ring around the small hole?

dress asked me that same question the other day when we were downing milkoholical drinks while listening to dress's collection of ultra rare afro 45's... anyway, been trying to find that danish schlager compilation lp where that break was lifted from so i could tell him too... i know its on polydor late 60's, think its a track by annette klingenberg cant remember the (danish) title, but this record would be impossible to find outside DK and i doubt any danish sellers are up on this joint? im not sure if theres any Walk Tall 45s still in stock, i recall only 200 or something were pressed and i think they have all been sold but i'll let you know if something should turn up! two seconds and i will get back to you on the other 3:21 break...

Found it in Batavia, IL. MINT! $20. Quite pleased. I actually sold the record to Bora Rokovic's daughter.

that's a completely underrated break, nice & open & snappy.
dollar bin magic.
yes, thats part of the label design.
and the second break you asked about is from a singers record with the Happy Singers, really dope drums on that!
peace.
thanks again. definitely keep me posted if you have any more copies lying around. those singers drums are
the rest of that song and for that matter album is pretty damn solid. Really excellent covers on there.
yeah, quite surprising actually. i'll try and up some clips later on today.

Flumph Chunky Umph and Ughh from the sexiest drummer in the shipping industry. Been listening to this a lot recently.
If you want to sing along:
Gonna invent a fire
Gonna lay down in it.
Gonna learn a lesson,
What do they do with it?
Gonna invent a fire
Keep it under my hat.
There's a lot of people out there
Who could use a thing like that.
Gonna invent a boat
out of wood and make it float.
Bust it up into firewood and burn it.
(Sometimes) a fire
Is worth more than a boat.
at KTS? i haven't been there in a while. or at some spot?
yep. that place has long since been cleaned out though, and he doesn't let the kids do pricing anymore
I knew it was only a matter of time before you chimed in here
Steady shreddin'
That said, here's one monster break from a recent purchase: http://o-dub.com/sounds/soulsides/birdy.mp3
Nothing that really compares to what's been posted so far, but it's what I've found lately.
Damn, thats a monster allright! What is it?
