    DAS EFX & BONE

Essential for its delivery of lyrics or not? I'm on the fence. Both are classic, but should Becky cop?

1st Das Efx might be a classic. Probably not though.

    EPMD....REDMAN....DAS EFX?

pete rock & cl - main ingredient

    NOT

Mecca and the Soul Brother is enuff. The first EP if u want more.

Obv its nothing on the debut or the EP but I think its still a pretty great album, more mature R&Bish shit but still some incredible Pete Rock work.

There it is. Deej is finally right.

I actually think it is as essential... very different sound, equally as good, really solid LP I would never get rid of.

Becky doesnt NEED every HIP HOP album ever made for her collection.

Just solid hip-hop needed for a well rounded collection.

    LAUREN HILL - Miseducation...

Your kidding with this one right?? I mean..classic or essential it is definitely NOT.
I'm all for later era shit..but Lauren Hill??

Maybe Mc Lyte and J.J. Fad just for starters. I love how you diss on all these other ''essential'' classics and come back MFKing Lauren Hill.

Kinda puttin the cart before the horse there.

However, I agree with you to some extent on the Das Efx tip and Company Flow may be crucial to some but indeed not really essential.

I still think Digable is in the top 25

    and ATliens YES!!! All day.

    MC LYTE yes
    JJ FAD..................your kidding right.

    I'm not dissing, I'm making a distinction.

We can disagree on LHILL, but the album did alot.

Me neither. I personally don't fuck with FF like that but it has to be a classic on some level to inspire the passion of Blowed fans like Archaic and the like.

Thats cool. Im not dissing either. Im not refering to Supersonic though, rather the LP and the many b-sides that people seem to sleep on.

Creepin on Ah Come Up and E1999 are both pretty good.

Ten rap albums i think everyone should own - avoiding totally obvious illmatic/lowendtheory shit but not getting all obscurantist either. And also uhh this is off the top, not a top ten for all time type thing.

    Ma$e - Harlem World
    Scarface - The Diary
Too $hort - Get In Where You Fit In
    T.I. - Trap Muzik
Organized Konfusion - Stress: the extinction agenda
Do or Die - Picture This
Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death
    Suga Free - Street Gospel
    Rappin 4-Tay - 4 Tha Hardway
Three 6 Mafia - Da Unbreakables

Public Enemy -I Takes a Nation.../Yo, Bumrush the Show
Ultramagnetic MCs - Funk Your Head Up

Does Becky need both ULTRAMAGNETIC ALBUMS?

We both love YO! but I dont think its for everyone the way NATIONS is laid out.

Hard to Earn is the only one I rock right now. Sometimes Moment of Truth. But Hard to Earn is my favorite.
