All fucking day. In ten days I will be seeing the fine minstrels at the world famous Meadowlands Arena in beautiful East Rutherford New Jersey. Needless to to say, the gawd is excited.
The funny thing is that Michael Denner (who played guitar in Mercyful Fate) runs a well-renowned 2nd hand record store in Copenhagen called Beat Bop. If you should ever come to Denmark, go to the store and ask him to tell you some war stories from the days of playing with King Diamond and Mercyful Fate while you dig for rekkids.
So he finished his show and was putting stuff back in the library and I was down the hall in the booth starting my show when I heard him calling out. We had just got these new (and cheap) CDs cabinets that were shoddily made and tipped when you opened the first two drawers. I get back there to see one of them tipped over, drawers hanging out and him pinned underneath. He was scared on all counts, not the least of which was that he just did a show clowning good/evil, only to be struck down by a chest of drawers. It took me and another guy a couple of tries to get the thing off him because we were laughing so hard and the drawers would not stay put. We stopped though because dude was seriously scared that a higher power had tipped the thing to warn him.
LOL! I met and drank beer with Michael Denner backstage at a King Diamond/Megadeth show here in Seattle in the 80s. King Diamond, Denner and the rest of the group were all very nice people. I'll have to find some of my old pictures from the 80s and post them. I was metal thrashing mad.
