POZ in Entourage ads

I vaguely remember someone here talking about doing audio for HBO ads, maybe I was stoned/dreaming it. But I thought someone on here did that shizz. So before the Sopranos last night they ran an add for Entourage with the first track on the Power of Zeus album looped up a bit with no vocals. Just curious as to the details.As I type this the RJD2/wells fargo add plays on KQRS.What's the deal with licsencing stuff like POZ????

    Not the POZ drums, the first song from the POZ album (the "drums" are from the last song on the album).

    It's just some rocking guitar/organ/drum rock looped up.

    if so than thats a saigon track they featured last season.

    Man, I don't know if it sounds like some whack Nas track.

    BUT I KNOW IT IS THE FIRST SONG FROM THE POWER OF ZEUS ALBUM ON RARE EARTH CALLED "IT COUNDLN'T BE ME" LOOPED UP.

    arrgh, this thread isn't going in the direction I had hoped, it was more about liscencing, who gets paid, if clearence is needed, etc...

    I live in LA and work in the agency world - i think it makes me appreciate the show that much more, especially when they focus on Ari.

    Its from Obie's new album. My hommie Emile did the beat. Whoever owns the publishing was compensated in a MAJOR way. Entourage is the shit too. I love that show.
