So I am doing a 2 month trip to South America later this year.Can anyone suggest any good bars / clubs / bands / DJs / whatever to check out.I'm after the good shit - none of this new reggaeton rubbish. I'm after straight up hip hop , jazz, funk, and anything else worth checking out, and of course as much quality local music I can take in..Im spending time in Rio, Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Asuncion, La Paz, Lima, Buenos Aires, and heaps more places that I can't be bothered to list here..any ideas?

La Noche (miraflores) is a club that has nice jazz impro on mondays (my friend plays the flute)
Jazz Zone has a sick cuban trumpeteer on tuesdays but its all about wednesdays and the flamenco
Unbeleivable guitarist and crazy dancers that stomp the shit out of the floor
I should also mention the countries I am going to are Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina
any other suggestions?
