Can I post a beat I made with a friend a year or two ago? I posted it in another thread and then the thread died and nobody ever peeped it (i guess that's not saying much for my beat). but fuck it, here, one or two people might find it enjoyable.

Very nice! I really like it. Work on that scratching though. You need to polish it up a bit.
whoa somebody listened to it, crazy! yeah thanks, neither me nor Griot did the scratching, it was just some freestyle fuckaround shit by my boy dj a-what and we just kinda liked it dirty like that. definitely coulda been cleaned up. the idea was that the vocal sample tied in to the actual vocal version of this song by this dude Ichiban from out here in Denver. His verses were all about hot shit. the "your hand is like a torch" shit was supposed to be for the dj to tie in to the verses (dj's hand is hot on the scratch, or whatever), even though it didn't come off as fresh as i had hoped. anyway, thanks!
