    Not sure if they are actual holograms.....but back in the day they were just referred to as "3-D'.

    There is a Johnny Cash Gospel LP with a 3-D cover
    And there are a couple of 50's Pop LP's on the Carlton label that have early, cruder versions of these types of covers.

    Styx "Paradise Theater" has a laser etch design on the vinyl itself. Unfortunately, it doesn't interfere with the music contained therein.
