Q: SNOOP and the CRIPS

Okay, so I've heard Snoop call out crip references in "Beautiful" and "Drop It .." Has he always called crip? (I dunno his catalog or story that well.)Or if not, maybe this is a post-Suge-wants-to-kill-me decision?

    Snoop has been an LBC Crip from way back before he started rappin'. At least that is the image and story that he puts out. A lot of people in the L.A. area are born into a gang or move into a gang neighborhood. If you live in a hood that is all Crips it does not really matter if you gang bang or not, other gangs will think you are a Crip. I am sure some of the L.A. people can explain this better as I am not an expert on L.A. gang culture.

    Suge is straight blood, homie. Always see him in red, even back when he was playin' ball for UNLV. Suge didn't care because of the money that Snoop was a Crip...

    I dude I used to know from Insane Crips in Long Beach told me Snoop was from there but I guess not.

    crazy how close these different sets live to each otherbut I guess the dividing line has gotta be somewhere.
