Is it really expensive??? I'm headed up there in a couple weeks. What's a hotel room cost up that way?

Vancouver (here) ain't a great town for records by any stretch. Can be expensive and not good demographics for used records.
But drop by Beatstreet records on Hastings. Best joint and good peoples working there.

Yo Delay, stay @ the Empire Landkmark on Robson. Great deals on rooms and it's location is RIGHT downtown.
I went into Beatstreet, it was a dope little store - but the prices are rediculous. $30 LPs and like $12-15 12"s.
No thanks.

import + taxes, but it is but no means a bargain.
It's getting up here in Toronto, especially unjustifiable for domestics as the Canadian curreny is strong right now, yet prices have continued to rise. New domestic 12"s on avg are $10.99-12.99, depending on stores.
I remember the $5.99 days.
