Please add on to the list of Yay area classic gangster LPs.... Also a question for the Yay area folks. What LP cover is this a re-make of? There was an LP from a Bay Area rap group that had this same cover years before this Mac Dre cover. I remeber the cover, but I can't remember the group or artist!

I love "Mr Predictor" as well.
Damn young Weezey, I knew you would come correct with the list. I might have to roll through your spot this weekend and borrow some of these
Hey P-Ro, J*rdan told me last night that he was drivin down Divisadero (in his caddy, have you seen that beast before?) around Fell and saw Dre Dog walking down the street and leaned out the window like "Excuse me Mr. Nickatiiinnnaaaaaaa..." but it was too late. I just thought that was hilarious imagining him calling that shit out as his car passed.
Can't find a scan, but one of my personal faves:
JT tha Bigga Figga - Playaz in the Game
Dope! Thank you for the info....
I missed out on this one, was it any good?
Somebody post the back cover of this (or was it the Pimp of the Year 12"?) with the jerry curl and the corncob pipe. That shit was stupendous.
Cali Agents? I would not really call them "Gangster," but I have not heard much of their music. I should have been a little more specific in my post title as well, I was referring to more Old School Bay area joints. Is Planet Asia form the yay? I thought he was from L.A.?
The man is still alive and his cd's are in print so if you're loving it and jamming it all the time you should probably buy it and all that.
Haha, dude seriously Asia is dope but rarely would "rip fools in street ciphers"

dont nobody know who you are
my name is T*j** i am a star!"
one of my favorite "rhymes" from the battle and i love how heated saafir gets over that.
Saafir lived in Fresno at one point (I don't think he's "from" there) but that's who this line was about, yes.
Even better was when one of 'em got called out for being from Grass Valley.
What, get low playaz don't count?
ILL!!!
I liked early Spice 1.
The Coup is not gangsterism, but I thought I'd mention them.
And er'body scrambles for the Andre Nickatina. Another one I never cracked open to listen to. Foolish? Maybe...
At the least you should check out the Dre Dog Hate You With a Passion somebody mentioned up above. "I'm a Pisces But I'd Rather Be a Killer Whale" is that serious dark gangster Bay shit.
oh yeah, those guys are
