check it! here is a recording of my friend chris's father DJ Raunchy Rich, spinning at Playlounge in Manhattan in the Fall of 1974. Very very very cool stuff. My favorite part is when he does the (relatively) quick cut from the Lyn Collins version of "Think" into the Soul Searchers' version....

yunno, "thanks to the DJ's"... i can't remember his last name, something Italian... Rich something... but, yeah, check the back , he's on that...
i know he spun from around 73-79... i should ask my friend Chris more...
