I'm still a Tortoise fan. I'll allow as they aren't innovating anything, but I still find enjoyable parts of their albums. Don't listen to them all that often anymore. Wouldn't mind seeing them live again.
props to thrill jockey for reissuing the ooioo 'gold and green' record also... probably the single best album to come out in the past 10 years.
are you prepared to backup this statement with some sort of justification? I mean, I like that album and everything but I see it more as a very well-developed (nearly perfectly, in fact) musical niche than the best thing in the past decade.
btw tortoise plays to the jam band crowd now...it???s perfect
