Going to Playa Del Carmen Tonite

....so yeah, going tonite from MPLS. can't wait to leave the snow. i'm staying at some all inclusive place on the beach, but i'm not really one to hang at a resort with a bunch of other gringos for five days so i'm asking y'all...what's real in Playa. i want to hit some off-the-beaten-path, ruins, markets, good food, etc... i'll have lots o' camera equip. and want to get some shots, i like to explore by myselfi don't speak a lick of spanish, but can figure shit out i'm sure. china for 10 days was no sweat for me.i need tips and tactics.thanks everybody.pics of my pasty white skinned, red-headed self burned to crisp will follow.--Nicky Lazer--
