Callins, band leader, teacher, and longtime friend of Sun-ra, passed April 30th at only 62. I just heard. Very sad. Another cat I can't say to have known personally, but my life feels richer for having heard his work. RIP

    i've had his "winds of change" lp a couple of times, nice stuff. i recorded it if anybody needs it on mp3.
