yo midwest strutters, i'm going to be visiting some friends in illinois and was wondering what's good in the bloomington/champaign/urbana area?

    I haven't been to the U of I (Urbana/Champaign) area since I graduated in '95 but I recall there being several decent record stores located along Green Street.

    The only record store left in Bloomington is Mother Murphy's(as far as I know). There used to be a Punk/indie store a couple doors down from Mother Murphy's but I think it closed.
    The come-up in Bloomington is the WGLT Record Sale in the Summer. I think it's in June. All the records are $1. I lived there a few years ago and there were about 15-20,000 records there. Some good shit to be had in the company of clueless hayseeds!
