    Kashmere Stage Band
    Langley VA High
    Jefferson City MO high

wait, all these schools, 100 copies per school,
must have been seen by many

Hmmm... I have that Langley track on another LP.

there is a great double lp set of just Langley High,
recorded in VA at their spring concert,
has several face melters including a dennis coffey cover,
    maybe from 71 or 72
the record pictured above is the concert competition
    in mobile alabama that
    the kasmere band won
3 sides of about a dozen high school bands
& one side of airmen of note,
    some noted judges &
    a blind college band !
    more high school band
    mooves
    & grooves
    some kool stuff !!

    (paging blake in sensi.....)

I think I also have a later version, say 1976(?), of the HS festival album listed above. It's basically a high school band comp with a couple funky moments. I know there's no Kashmere on the 1976 though -- would've remembered that!

i can't find any info on this, but it's one of my favorite finds ever. from 1981, private synth-dance madness out of columbus, oh. it could totally pass for some early 90s warp/rephlex stuff. if anyone has any info on this, or any way to contact the artist, pm plz.

    From the back cover:

"There are moments...when someone enters your life -- sometimes for a brief instant -- sometimes for an eternity of love...&
It's for all those moments, both then & now, that I appreciate all the people in my life & the love they've shared with me."

    Rockadelic, is that you?

I seen that! Aleit dug it up in Mississippi and I scored it off him when I was visting, if I remember correctly. It's a comedy record. Damn I need to go through my stacks.

    Holy shit.

What the fuck is on that record?

An interview by a black business man in Gary, IN with a heroin junkie of 23 years with backing music (kalimba) by Phil Cohran.

And yes, it's as fascinating as it sounds.

Wow. I love the kalimba, I had a friend who had a couple of them and we would jam out.
