I would bust a vein on "YOU SAID YOU WERE AN ACTRESS, YES I BELIEVE YOU ARE / I-E-I-E-I THOUGHT YOU'D BE A STAR / SO I DRANK UP ALL THE MONEY / YES I DRANK UP ALL THE MONEY!"
I went with 4 other people from work. Two had been professional singers, one was an aspiring singer, and one dude just happened to have an amazing voice. I would only go again if I can be assured everyone was as bad as me.
I don't think there's an easy way to remove vocals but here's some discussion about it.
I'm not a karaoke-head, but I would think this would be a standard tune.
Herm
Cold As Ice.
(M.O.P., not Vanilla.)
that would be fresh! Since the instro's to hip hop songs are easily obtainable on vinyl, I thought it would be cool to do an all Hip Hop Karaoke Night from a list of maybe 50 songs. I figured you could just print the lyrics on paper, but people would have to be sober enought to read them. I guess it wouldnt be too hard to but them on a DVD and play on the projector though.
Anyhow, After taking a survey amongst friends the majority thought it probaby wouldnt go too smoothly. Has anyone ever tried before? What are some songs that would be easy enough for the common beer drinker to keep up with thats what I wanna know.
Biggie, Tribe, Nas, De La are all easy contenders....It would be fun to try regardless. We'll probably see Mike Jones and Paul Wall on the circut soon I bet. Slow and Easy...very repeatitive..not much to remember...just a bunch of numbers and remembering their name.
This is a standard for me in Tokyo! They're always well stocked here (Mashmakhan -what?); my only complaint being I only get to do "It ain't no fun if the homies can't have none" about 50% of the time...
I know this joint '7 Bamboo' over in San Jose's Japantown has Special Ed's 'I got it made'[/b] for Karaoke, I always thought it was pretty cool (I think I'm the only one that ever sings it) most of the jock's and frat's that frequent the joint much prefer to get drunk and sing Sir Mix Alot and shake their butt's at the crowd...
wow - you would straight CRUSH IT on the spam / oreos line for reals.
i've always wanted to do:
Eric B & Rakim "Microphone Fiend"
Black Sabbath "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"
Plaese.
k.
they used to do this at this record store uponshop here in LA. it looked kinda hokey, but you pretty much described their set up.
there was also pornioke which was at this rock bar in OMI. that was weird.
there's another spot here in LA that's like karaoke except they give you a scene from a movie of your choice and you act it out. doesnt seem quite as fun.
and for those of yous looking for the extended REEEEEEMMMMIIIIXXX songbook, look no further than ktown, DING DONG DANG. they might not have baby huey or cmw, but youd be surprised by their selection.
songs id like to see in the karaoke songbook
indigo girls - romeo&juliet
swing out sister - breakout
shit i know there's more. but, um, i have to work
this was the song i sang the last time i did karaoke. the high notes were not too kind to me (or the audience).
i wish for bob dylan's "to be alone with you"

r-kelly's 'your bodys callin me'

yeah i wish the rap selection wasn't so nelly. i think i got east flatbush project dude's delivery down for tried by 12 but all the n-bombs coming from me would be
