Are you talking about "Music"? That is the cut no doubt! There's a slow jammie on that one I recall liking too "Guess You Didn't Know".

    This is dope:

I want this, do you knw someone with a double?

I just stumbled over this myself recently. I'll keep an eye out for another.

"Don't Take Me for A Ride" is my cut on there, but it's all pretty dope!

  • I didn't really understand the criteria of the albums but judging from what you guys listed i'll recommend these:

Johnny Taylor "love's rated x-tra" (Columbia Lp)
    Zingara (Wheel Lp)
Reggie Griffin "mr everything" (Sweet Mountain Lp)
Love Unlimited "music maestro" (20th century)

No top 10 i'm afraid.. not until i know what mode lp is

I like this album too. Reggie Griffin played keyboards on many seminal Sugar Hill releases, including 'The Message'.

modern soul has so many styles wrapped up in that name.... but you are basically dealing with 3 different food groups. these all get lumped into the sound "modern soul" and are all tunes which gatewayed me into this genre. all are easy finds and dope tunes.

    Whatsup Tom...

I'm a huge fan of this tune. GREAT!

  • I finally got that damn JR Bailey lp on MAM today, buy that one it's pure bliss all the way through, Marvin Gayeish kinda Leon Ware sounding stuff, luuuuverly

Also i must give a heads for Chuck Cissels lps on Arista, some good stuff there also this one:

    Hi Five on Titlewave
*"we came to party" "let's go all the way" "all i need"

...and everything that says "michael stokes" somewhere on the credits
