Can we get through 2006 without anymore legends passing, PLEASE?
Really sad news and, unfortunately, I think we're going to be seeing more and more of this... so many of the people that were at their musical prime in the fifties and sixties are really getting up there.

I'd hate to be a pessimist at a time like this, but Faux is telling you right.
Oh man, this is hard to take. I saw Ray play about five years ago in NY and he still had it. I never got to meet him but had always heard he was great and very friendly. He had a great career and will leave behind many a cherished album. Played with many greats, mentored some, and contributed greatly to latin music. Personal top 5: 1. Soul Drummers 2. Deeper Shade of Soul 3. Diablo 4. Together 5. Arrepientate
Thats so strange.....Ive only takin my gold label 'Acid' LP out of the house Twice! since I found it last summer and Last night ( thursday) just happend to be one of them. I played 'Soul Drummers' towards the end of my set. I love that whole album. I'm very glad I came upon his music. He lived a long life and gave so much. R.I.P.
