Unlike many of the bitter "old school" record dealers/collectors in the world I recognize and admit one simple fact. "IF IT WASN'T FOR HIP-HOP AND THE CRATE DIGGERS IT HAS SPAWNED MOST(IF NOT ALL) OF THE RECORD STORES IN THIS COUNTRY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS"[/b] This genre has single-handedly kept Record Stores from becoming extinct and for that alone I thank you all!!!Rich

Aron's was a great store... had been for years... only thing that took them outta business was having AMOEBA open their location so close to them.
i have issues with amoeba... anythign ive ever bought there sealed has been warped... i just stick to their dollar bins now.
i need to thank hip-hop for getting me into digging in the first place... i've always been a collector, but i used to do the CD thing.
what about all those greasy haired dudes with no female compagnon that hibernate in front of shops just to be the first to get all those zappa raers not givin a shit if you find some breakbeat next to them. shops could live from those dudes alone i guess...i see so many of them...
A) They don't spend much money
B) No store is going to sustain itself just selling Zappa Crappa
C) On-Line Pay Porn sites now reap in all the old school Zappa money
ok, i see...
Reaffirming Daddy-O's line in 'Talkin' All That Jazz'...
The whole major label music industry lives off hip hop: global music sales are something like $3bn with hip hop and related 'urban' contributing $2bn of that.
