I'm afraid all I know is it was owned by Shelby Singleton, who was a madman...he also owned Plantation, Amazon, Silver Fox, and probably my favorite label SSS International. I'm not sure what was distributed by what and subsidiary to what and all that.
A few random titles are missing, but there's enough so you can get the gist.
As Mister C noted, Minaret was indeed an SSS Int'l subsidiary, although I have the Fairlaines disc (white fratboy R&B) which was distributed by Starday (I think this is the first entry on the list). Speaking of white R&B, some of y'all may recognize "Silly Savage" by the Golden Toadstools, which was also a Minaret waxing.
Even though, from the looks of things, this label released all kinds of stuff, southern soul was really their meat. I have several Big John Hamilton singles (including his version of "Them Changes," a duet with Doris Allen) which are really good.
Do you have a link or personal knowledge of an SSS LP discog? I've compiled a good bit, but I'm missing some titles and have doubts as to whether some had an official release or not.

I'm afraid I don't - if there are any discographies I'd like to see covered, it would be that of SSS (and the various offshoot labels, except for Sun.

Can anybody help out?
Murray LP is SSS 102 - a great album, although I was surprised to see it has been reissued, since I got my OG for under $10 on eBay less than 2 years ago...
On a somewhat related note, has anyone heard/do they have this Mickey Murray LP on Federal from 1970?? Never heard of it until today:

What's the date on the Mickey Murray? Either I'm missing 70+ albums from the discog or they started compiling singles in the late 70s (?) and started in the 100s. I seem to remember seeing another album in the 100s

Original New York Rock & Roll (SSS 6) is a compilation of sides from the Red Bird label (and not all of it is NY, either - the Dixie Cups and Alvin Robinson were licensed straight from New Orleans). There is no Vol. 2, from what I've seen.
SSS 25 is Jewels, Vol. 2 (a random oldies compilation).

That Mickey Murray does look cool.

Which is well worth grabbing - it has that awesome version of "Them Changes"
mentioned earlier - a few stores around here have ss stock of it for $5.
