Power moves... My education increased 1000 fold. And I still dig. Despite the presumptions made.
Another board I visit (old school hip hop) dissapeared today as well. Gone gone gone... Vanished. All we did was share files & information with each other.
Ah well, it was great while it lasted. I learned that there's a bunch of overrated, overpriced grail records that I now realise I don't need and that there are also face-melting, must-have, unfuckwittable records out there that I am now destined to hunt down for the rest of eternity. Grodeck Whipperjenny ain't one of 'em though.
I fully concur on all points. I might not need that new hard drive after all. It was great to have on random in iTunes & run in while doing the dishes going 'what the heck is this?' everytime something dope would come on?
Oh well. Now I know something more about psych rock, christian folk & wierd Euro jazz than I did before. I just wish they gave a warning that it was going. Would've been polite.
Hey, is that Ron English doing his Jackson Pollock (Jack the Dripper) parody?
I agree it's a shame it's gone but I still have much stuff I didn't listen to yet or other stuff I only listened to hastingly. I also agree it got a bit out of hand since records got posted faster than we could possibly listen to them and I did notice I got a bit spoiled. It was rather time consuming too... It didn't lower my appetite for digging at all though.
That section was completely over my head. Either I had no access or didn't notice that I did. In any event, now that the cat is out of the bag, how exactly did one find this super-secret forum?

Not only that, I began to save mp3s of modern soul on diskkettes due to lack of space on my hard disk.
