And isn't too much emphasis being put on Scott Storch's time spent with The Roots here? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he just play keys with them on occasion? No dis' but I don't see how that has much bearing on the music he makes while not with The Roots.
I mean, John Tesh can play keys too (for argument's sake), that doesn't necessarily mean I'd trust his judgement with an MPC.
Scott Fucking Storch. I can't say I jump when I see "Tuff Jew ASCAP" on a single, but I actually own, listen, and play out his productions. Outside of a Gorrilaz 12'' and some bootleg DM did w/ Marvin Gaye over "All Nite Long", dude got pretty lucky over a gimmick he did 3 years ago.
