ive been at drummerworld.com watching videos of some of my favorite drummers and the shit is pretty just watched clyde stubblefield demonstrate the sex machine pattern, just weird seeing the dude who recorded it playing it...anybody got some amazing live performances or anything that will blow my mind? id kill to see some live meters shit or something but who knows. that soft machine live 1967 video somebody posted on here was pretty amazing though..show me things.

    its youtube.com .. but dont expect to find any good drumming videos there. there are plenty of hilariously awful homemade ones of kids Rocking Out that are only good for a laugh or two

    Btw, that Herbie video was from a PBS special called "Herbie Hancock & The Headhunters Live @ Soundstage" and if anyone has a copy, please let me know.

    yea. and not the most photogenic peoples, but damn the music is fine.

    The extended trumpet solo was ill in the second clip.

    The owner of this one record store I frequent in my hometown, has a vast collection of rare psych, and garage performances on vhs. Every once in a while I can convince him to let me borrow a couple to make copies in exchange for dvd copies for him. Some of the stuff is ill as fuck, and every once in a while something funky finds it way on inbetween syd barrett performances. Like an episode of future shock or some crazy performace by sun ra.


    Someone should make a great dvd comp of these performances (meters, placebo, herbie, etc) It would be great to have playing at parties.

    I can't wait to watch this when I get home. I remember when that commercial aired it was a big event. I must have watched that shit 100 times. Same thing with the Thriller video.
