naw i din't buy 'em but her paintings much like these are selling quite well when she has her shows around in LA. as you could see she from that site, she got some talent. i told her i liked the goldfish one and she made this little "it's nothing" bookmark gift for x-mas (although soon after my dog bit off the bottom half)
I don't think i had it as my avatar...i don't remember.
hahaha. right now she's selling them in the range from $100 up to 5, 600 for the bigger ones. But the last show she had here in West LA, half of 'em were bought in the first 30min. But yea, def. check that site every so often. she's starting to get her name out there, and doing more shows.
i ain't no agent for her or nothing, but glad you like 'em.
My good friend Al*ta is niiiice with her shadowboxing. A couple days ago I gave her a box (only about 6"w x 4"h x 3"d) and a short stack of Mexican comic porn. She hooked it up lovely narcocorrido/cocaine cowboy/mafioso-style. The pic is rather blurry, but she threw some tiny tequila bottles, a baggy of "weed" (oregano), a brick of "coke," some uzis and rifles, and a grip of twenties and tens. All this at the base of - what else? - a sacred heart and a cross with a rosary. The sides are decorated with glittered up cut-outs from the magazines.

i think her stuff is really dope. I have a friend out here in l.a. that puts on mad art shows for charity and shit. I wonder if they know eachother.
On the trip to Palm Springs for Day's 30th a few weeks back, Karlito, Daze, Asprin, Tate & I wandered into the M Modern Gallery while waiting for the other follz to show up. They were having a show called Modern Love which featured many artists interpretations on the subject. I came across this piece (*PASUE*) and took a liking to it. The show price was $600 and I was VERY close to buying it right then & there. "Fuck a CD-J," I thought to myself. Luckily, Tate was that good angel on my shoulder that suggested I wait and deal with the artist directly. (Daze on the other hand was that bad angel that wanted me to give him the money so he could impress the 400-lb. renaissance fair chick with her titties falling out her bustier.) I took Tate's advice and Googled hoLmes when I got home. 6 weeks, multiple emails and $400 later, I now own this:
Chris Remmers "Loves New Look" 24" x 30" - Oil on Canvas
As you can see, I have a theme going on here:
Derek Hess print (a gift from a ladyfriend)
Thrift store find:
Mode2 piece (ripped from the pages of Frank magazine)
Another Mode2 piece (also ripped from the pages)
A velvet D'Angelo piece (anybody else have one of these? Raer?)
A self-portrait from the ex, the beautiful R*sie
Another sketch from her (We were hanging out one day and she called me a "fish-eyed fool who's always looking at ass" - note the fish...note the ass.)
This one I "liberated" from her (she was about to paint over it and start over)
Who else you know has a HANDMADE 'ZORRO THE GAY BLADE' DOLL?!?! (Same ladyfriend made it for me. Shit has rhinestones and a pink sword...HARD AS FUCK.)

My mom gave it to me for x-mas a few years back. It was done by one of her artsy NYC friends.
