    Early Vanguard label folk dude??

Living in KC in 1994, I sold Danny my 1984 Mustang.
He gave it to his daughter, who wrecked it within two months.

Does he have anything other than that Live at the Family Dog. I couldn't get into that...Hair covers and such.

    That's Jackie[/b] Washington.

And that Isley Brothers album isn't folky at all. Maybe it was the hollowbody acoustic guitars they're holding on the cover that threw you?

  • Cox has at least three LPs. A few majors and a private.
But he was never in the Army.

He had several albums out (I even saw one on Casablanca). They all looked pretty cheesy, so I usually pass on them when I see them.

Point taken. I think it qualifies better as acoustic soul, as it does have more acoustic guitar than most Soul LPs of the time. But I guess I wouldn't call most Terry Callier stuff folky either.

you probably mean a different one than the below 'only looks like fire' item.

Never thought of it by the instruments used. Stevie Wonder plays harmonica sometimes, but I wouldn't call him a blues singer. It's just a classic album from the Isleys' "black rock" phase, IMO...

  • Breck- You know you get down on some steamed soy double-mocha and blast that Bassette LP out of your iPod speakers at the local Java Hut.

that dude's black??!! I just sold that and had I known he was black I would have held onto to it. Sounds incredibly white. Maybe if he wasnt wearing a hood I would have known.

even if the dude was purple this record wouldn't get any play in my house.

strictly of interest to the tinkertoo completist.
