Is Lucy Liu mad she's losing work? That's the real question.
P.S. This reminds me of when I saw Charlton Heston playing a "Mexican" in "A touch of evil". The literally put some brown make-up on him, gave him a "swarthy" looking moustache and named him"Vargas".
Thats a dope ass movie though. Welles is straight up gangster in that shit.
Favorite Welles film - prefer it over 'Citizen Kane' actually... Cobbled together by Welles 'cause he'd been pretty much frozen out by Hollywood @ that point...
Yah I prefer it to Citizen Kane aswell - the first shot of the movie is nuts. The camera is moving all of the damn place for liek three minutes with no cuts. Crazy!
Sorry A****** but they're right: Ben Kingsley is half-Indian so, technically speaking, the casting wasn't so bad on this one. Like most actors with non-Western (or Jewish) surnames, Kingsley changed his name to "pass" and get better parts.
But as it goes, this was fairly real. Well, at least half real.
Oliver
the most unreal casting has to be british ben kingsley as gandhi

Really! I only heard it for the first time last year.
How odd will it sound hearing "Japanese" girls speaking English with a Chinese accent????? Bizarre.
In that case maybe this one was a stretch.
But as it goes, this was fairly real. Well, at least half real.
