I think it's ok to be offended, frankly. He could have been a cop trying to get you for solicitation, he coulda been trying to rob you for all you know. I am not talking being mortally wounded with offense, but taking offense at being solicited does not have anything to do with your being 'secure with your sexuality'. I take offense to dudes selling drugs on my block...they are just trying to "make a living", I guess, but they don't even LIVE on my block. That's just where they find it easy to do, and I take offense. Make a living on your own damn block.

When I was in sound school in Emmeryville we used to go smoke buds at the Berkley Aquatic park down the street. I guess it's like a hook up spot for dudes cause I got propositioned there like twice. I and know it's happened to lots of other guys. Once I was there smoking with a few guys and this dude comes out of a bush half naked and says not to mind him, and that he's there every day, and wants to hang out. Another time I was there I was just walking around smoking weed, and I realize there's a couple guys staring at me (not because I was smoking weed) They wanted to know if it was my first time at the park.
