Looking to getting an external sound card for a lap top. Lap top is a Dell Inspiron 9200 with Windows XP - I know I know, but this is what I got for now (and for a while). Just need something basic and something for around $40.00-$60.00??? Any suggestions? Or am I just shit out of luck?!!!!

  • in that price range, you don't have alot of options. here's two:

    M-Audio Transit mobile

    Edirol UA-1EX

  • raise some more money (christmas is coming) and get a used emagic emi 6|2 or 2|6 at ebay. if you didnt find, try emagic A26 / emagic A62

werd... i'm just on some simple set up just so i can record vinyl onto my hard drive, not for any other use and i've seen those creative lab sound cards for around $50, thats what i based my price off of....

transit should be one of the best bets for that price range. i've used the indigo i/o for recording vinyl and it sounds fine, but it runs about 125-150ish
