I've been on a fusion kick lately, so I'm really enjoying Billy Cobham and Tony Williams.I was looking around on this sitehttp://www.drummerworld.com/drummerchoice.htmlit's pretty cool, they have videos and mp3s (big ones) of just about anyone you can think of.

  • That cat used to play with my dad when I was 14-15. I had no idea who he was. Just another nerdy friend of the parents. I didn't even know he was on that weird record with the tuner playing the keyboards on the cover. I wonder who else I met. Prolly some

I say this everytime a drummer post comes up, because everyone overlooks him (including homey with the long-ass list up there). Greg Freaking Errico! Some of the baddest breaks ever recorded to tape, and this board forgets him on the regular. That's un-possible!

  • Some of my favs--

How yall gonna forget about this man? The king of that rock solid soulful shit. Wasnt really a show-off type of drummer but was hella on point with incredible timing & got the job done.

    Al--

Clyde--That 'Give it up turn it loose' break still gets a nigga exhilerated no matter how many damn years i been listenin to it.

Zigaboo--If you know anything about the Meters then you'll know this man is the king & one of the originators of that funky syncopated ish.

Harvey--This man was a monster on the skins & was killin it on the Headhunter album! One of my favs just off the fact of his beautiful drumming on '4am'

Honorable mentions- Any of these drummers can easily be on this list also:

Mike Clark(Was killin it on one of my fav joints(Actual Proof)

Jabo & Melvin Parker- If you dont know why go back & listen to some late 60's-mid 70's JB.
