now that we have all this sorted out, IS THIS RECORD WORTH A DAMN?!?!
It has its' hard-rocking moments, but it's no lost Detroit rock & roll classic or anything. The MC5, the Stooges, Funkadelic, Black Merda or Brownsville Station could have shut these guys down on a bad night, but that goes without saying.
If you're looking for breakbeats, that ain't my concern - you'll have to grill some hip-hop fanatic about that aspect.
I like this record. Most of it, anyway. When they are on some dark/heavy quasi-Sabbath kick, I think it rawks. But when they stray, like on Hard Working Man, it sounds like some straight doo doo brown canadian hard rock bullshit... I'd like to find an OG, cause I feel like the RE is lacking some serious punch to the sound. Surprise, surprise.

1: From Detroit
2: Dope Cover
3: I just plain want to hear it.
so what, its not that good?
I bought the reissue for those three reasons listed above.
Nah.
Don't get me wrong, there are a few good tracks - they weren't worthless, and it would be a monster find if you saw it cheap.
But it's no classic. Just decent, unexceptional hard rock.

After hearing it, I'd have to say yes (just my opinion).
You may as well. Or better still, work that sound clip that Fatback provided & see what you can find.
Thanks.
umm..... yeah. I think the best part was when it sped up and ended.
thanks!
yeah $20 is too much.
