I always thought Casino was kind of weak, especially when compared to GoodFellas. The characters in Casino just don't hold up like those of GF. DeNiro's character is a mensch and most of the cast seems like they are playing parodies of their GF characters or at least GoodFellas 2. Sharon Stone is pretty hard to take, too.
The only satisfaction I got from Casino was seeing Dennis Farina get payback on Joe Pesci from GoodFellas, even though the films/characters weren't related.
What was that Aviator bullshit? Never got into Last Temptation of Christ either. Scorsese should stick to that tough guy New Yorker schitt, it's what he's best at.
