Anyone see it yet? I think it looks ,but my girl wants to see it. Want to know opinions from anyone who saw it.

    Im sure its a little high on the national-anthem-playing-whilst-missles-and-fireworks-go-off-in-the-backround type shit, but i gotta say it looks pretty gangster. The part in the trailer where dude is sitting down and doesnt even flinch when a mortar hits next to him?

    i understand it may not be a typical war movie - but i'm not really into movies about war. and jake gyllenhall (sp???) is not my cup of boy tea. i will, however, be going to see him kiss another boy in brokeback mountain.

    this movie is off the monkey bars. saw it last night and the shit was DOPE! i highly recommend it. the last 5 minutes or so fucked me up a little bit.

    I read the first half of the book. It was good and is a first person memoir of serving in the Gulf War.

    But anyways ... my favourite war movie of all time is Three Kings (apparently Clinton used to watch this movie over and over again when he was in office)

    first time i saw the trailer i was thinking "republicans got to sam mendes" certainly doesn't look like an anti war movie, we should have more of those.

    The book does not define itself along a pro or anti-war paradigm. It was more of a personal story of someone in the war.
