Look, if you lived in SA (I do) you would know that we are effin Manu crazy, he's the most popular player on the Spurs right now because he has brought excitement to a team that needed it (I can admit it). We are finally getting national respect for this, our third championship, because we are exciting to watch now. Manu exploded this season, it's crazy, and he puts more of himself (physically) into every game than any other player, so people feel very empathetic towards him.
BUT- we are talking about Spurs basketball in which Tim is the center and most valuable player. This is the way our team is constructed, not just how well he plays, although his play is obviously the reason for his role on the team.
Oh, and Tim played really well last night when we won the championship, the fact that he played poorly when we lost is moot. I really don't know why it is so hard to understand that the best player in the league is the MVP.
