could it be a Microwave issue? Try new rca cables. it's on the rane 57, so the only rca's are coming out of the turntable. i tested those for resistance from the headshell socket back to the plugs and the signals were clean, even while stressed. -

So Thes when you had the Manley phono pre custom built what were you going for?
Yeah, you still need a preamp with the Duet. But the Rane 56 should be fine if you like how it sounds. -

I love my Rane Empath, but I wish I could pop a 56 crossfader in there. If they combined the two mixers in the next model they design I think they'd basically have the perfect DJ mixer, unless you're talking like bozak sound or something. -
