    In the dance scene, I actually kind of prefer older DJs, with people like Danny Tengalia, DJ Hell, Laurent Garnier, Tony Humphries and Junior Vasquez all like AARP-status.

    Bill Laswell continuing to get props in the new-world Strut. Up is down, black is white, Marley in Dub getting dap; I don't pretend to understand. 

    I think the randomness is the best part about it, i.e. getting freaky with Judge Joe Brown on the background only helping to cement the memory, even if it's quite the opposite of a mood-enhancer.

    Saturday was the annual CHIRP Record Fair in Chicago. I did get there very late, after 1 p.m., but it was pretty slim pickins' overall. I did find a pretty clean copy of Just As I Am.
