    At the risk of heresy,I've only two Blossom Dearie albums but I stand by them proudly. My Gentleman Friend,as solid a 50s effort as can be named and perhaps most of all -That's The Way I want To Be. I don't know if this album is controversial but I find it an enchanting take on swinging London for Fontana no less. The songs pay tribute to Dusty Springfield,John Lennon,Georgie Fame,Scott Walker. A fascinating work that gently haunts me.
