UPLOAD an ACAPELLA
Yeah I'd really like to start a pella/instr/multitrack trading group on the DL for serious old school aficionados. I make tons of near studio quality diy pellas myself and would love to share and trade. Mostly golden era hip hop/r&b classics that I'm not even sure studio pellas even exist for.
I've belonged to some of those "secret" remixer groups in the past, but I just get sick of the same ol' shitty top 40 Lady Gaga posts. Frankly some of those mashup producers I've dealt with are just plain arrogant douchebags.
There needs to be a group where true dedicated old school djs/remixers/collectors can specifically request and trade for rare classic things amongst their peers just like the old AIM days. I still personally don't want to hear super rare hip hop pellas slapped over a Taylor Swift instrumental and lauded on Reddit as being "genius". I'd rather hear those classic dope blends, and more creative uses that still preserve the integrity of the genre.
I'll be brainstorming ideas for a group next month. I have 17,000+ records I'm not looking forward to moving Sept 1st that I have to take care of first though.
Anyway someone here requested ODB-Brooklyn Zoo pella? Still not sure if a studio exists but I made this a long time ago from the cd single. B Batson's might be better though I honestly can't remember now haha properly tagged and bpm should be close. 320kbs

For the acapella remixers/collectors top 10 Holy Grail studio acapellas you want or have?
Does anyone here remember the good old days when all the trading of the exclusive stuff was mostly through now archaic AIM? Seems like forever ago. Time goes by, people get older, get out of the biz, health issues etc and all of a sudden the pipeline runs dry. I honestly have no clue what is out there now? Occasionally I'll hear Jazzy Jeff, Biz, Mell Starr drop an exclusive in a set, but it's basically been the same handful of old school pellas on everyone's want lists for a decade it seems. lol
Anyway here's 10 studio acapellas that I would consider very rare. A few bounced from original multitrack sessions.
1.George Benson-Give me the Night
2.Honeydrippers-Impeach the President
3.Bill Withers-Ain't no Sunshine
4.Sister Sledge-We are Family
5.Nu Shooz-I can't wait
6.Biz Markie-Goin Off
7.New Edition-Candy Girl
8.Roger-So Ruff so Tuff
9.RUN DMC-Beats to the Rhyme
10.Earth Wind and Fire-Let's Groove
