I think it's because Mick Mars is too old and ill to continue touring, but he wants to make sure they won't tour with another guitarist under the Crue name. I can kinda respect that. The first 2 Motley LPs are great records and I won't hear otherwis…

They are in the sense that they have loads of people writing about them every week, and that they are drawing the biggest viewing audiences these days. Networks are built around these kinds of shows right now.

I disagree, I think the new season has been fine. The previous episode was great IMO, the scenes with Don and Sally were so well acted, I felt a real payoff for having watched these characters and their relationship over the years. I could have live…

I couldn't believe the fuss over some of the stuff that was released last week, people were literally fighting over the Ghostbusters record and the Cake and REM boxes. Ridiculous. I did get the Joy Division "An Ideal For Living" EP, I didn't feel li…

As a NYC native my irrational hatred of flip-flops knows no bounds. People who wear them on the subway deserve to have their feets stomped on purpose. If you aren't on the pool deck or the sand you have no excuse. Music copped.

Very cool stuff, I always dug Tom's youtube videos, glad to hear him doing his own thing. I'll be buying for sure. J i m s t e r said:Resolution 88 ÔÇ£Wow. Soulful music, played with passion and incredible skill. This harkens to the be…

If you dig 70's spiritual jazz check out Menagerie - They Shall Inherit. They capture the vibe well.

I don't think they have any records out but someone posted this vid of the Myron McKinley Trio performing at NAMM in January that was pretty face melting, I'd buy a record for sure. Myron is the musical director for Earth, Wind, & Fire BTW... …

Personally, Sonic Youth. I know they get tedious for a lot of people but I always find interesting stuff in the way they fuck with guitar tunings and sounds. Now the side projects, LMSYRT...

Word is it's a rebadged Hanpin. Hanpin builds turntables for Audio Technica, Denon, Music Hall, Stanton, and other brands. This Pioneer is closest to the Audio Technica LP-1240 but with slightly changed up cosmetics. If you look at the buttons, plat…

I've had a pretty serious case of tinnitus for years now, TBH I've gotten to the point where I've tuned it out. I only notice it when i think about it or when I'm in a very quiet environment. Like Controller said, you have to make an effort to not o…

Happy that Stark made #1, it is the record I think of when I think of Soul Strut. I proposed a top 100 12" singles list before, I think that would yield an interesting list spread across many genres, and as many of us are DJ's 12" singles are…

Depends on the bar and bartender. My wife bar tends and at her place the management frowns on buybacks but she does it occasionally for her super-regulars. At most places I drank in regularly the general rule was a buyback every 3rd round. 2 freebie…

The Vox Delaylab does 90% of what the Strymon does for less than half the price. I tried them both and they are both great but I couldn't justify spending the extra $ for the Timeline when the Delaylab sounds so good. There are loads of good demos o…
