amazing. made me laugh more than anything else today, so I have to give the man some credit. but is this something other than a joke?

I don't actually have a terabyte... yet. but c'mon maru, how many records do you have? I love thinking about these as the acetates of the future:
-
funny thing is, it's kinda true. I been trading MP3s more than rec's lately. And I'm about to fill my second HD to capacity. TERABYTE of raer. But I'm happily listening to vinyl rips of records that I probably will never see.

this was parentally dished out in repeat portions. but I learned to love it. saw him at the Fillmore back around 2000: feel good x100. this album is stil badass by me: tweeter and the monkey man???

some nice stuff in here to keep me from doing things I should be doing. that Og profile was crazy, can't believe I never heard of him. this is one of my homies from high school. perhaps not on the same level, but it starts off at one of the spots …

this one's pretty good for reggae related. then again, I'm not really deep enough into it to know what they're missing: www.roots-archives.com

we need meat to stay healthy. says who? people gotta realize that meat & dairy industry is on the level of the oil families. the amount of misinformation, corruption, pollution, and all-around backwardsness involved is astounding. that's not …

I just love the living too much. If I needed to, I would would hunt and slaughter, but thankfully I don't.

2Kilos worth of goodness? DL-ing now. Thanks.

This gringo looks mad antsy and uncomfortable. Cumbia has got to be one of the easiest Latin dances (second only to merengue). Of course, you can always add frills and spins, but the basic step is really basic.
-
hell yeah, I remember your older post about los pibes. their music is cool, but damn if it ain't hard to play out. shit is just too crazy for your average listener. I'm feeling it though, but don't tell my friends.
-
first time I really remember opening my ears to cumbia was at a root down party. Dusk dropped some shit that I never would have thought to mix- good times ensued. since then, one of my all time favorite joints to spin is this track from his "La Mu…

Amsterdam airport. Heard this dope soulful singer on top of a jazzy latin dance tune. Jotted down the hook "Smile In Your Eyes" and several google searches later I learned that it was a UK group called Big Bang. Really cool record. European "eleva…

DONE! and somehow all the compilations re-appeared!!! Still don't really get what happened in the first place, but by dragging the entire contents of the iTunes folder into the itunes program, everything is back in place! I'm very very happy viewe…

I did the copy whole iTunes folder from external back into iTunes program, and it appears to be working! Now I just have to go through and delete all duplicates... arrrrg. but at least the music and playlists aren't gone. thanks.
-
thanks snaggle. I'm gonna try that. I know where all the files are on the hard drive (the ones that didn't disappear at least), and I could technically re-find them one by one, but that would take a month. and if I lose my playlists, my DJ-career wo…

Do you maintain two libraries (one on your MacBook and one on your external)? If so, did you delete any files from your MacBook library recently? I only ask because I've accidently deleted files from the library on my external thinking I was in my…

tried that. went into preferences and hit "reset location" and re-assigned it to my external. still no go. also, some of these files aren't even showing up on my external anymore, like they actually have been deleted. but it seems pretty random wh…

or how about some unabashed Raphy apreesh! so many dope tracks, and I've barely seen any of his old material comped or re-released. just heard another hip hop track that sampled him recently, Rico Pabon I think. "amor y paz", "fiesta en mi cor…

This was for sale on Ebay a few weeks ago, meant to big, but forgot. How is it? Last Poets, Amiri Baraka type material with music. Recorded in 85, so the production isn't my favorite, but there's a pretty cool Afrobeat cut that I used to start o…

the ensemble still exists here in brooklyn, but there's no info on the lp.

real nice version of Baltimore.. Love that tune. These two tracks are alright, but they don't really highlight what I think sly & robbie do best.

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble - get familiar although, technically I think it's a baritone in this video. http://hypnoticbrass.blogspot.com/
