Guess he's just gonna have to deal with a lifetime of "Mr. Cee, you nasty African" jokes.

I would love that. Please do!

Thanks for posting that link. I was able to see about half of the video before UMG/EMI had it yanked off of YouTube. If EMI had a face I would currently be trying to punch its nose into its brain.

Done. Kinda embarrassed by how much of my list is old stuff, but the records I revisit the most are almost all from the 1990s or earlier.

He also did a mean "Tighten Up": Nazz: "Loosen Up"

Yeah, I mess with "Bailout" HEAVY. Nice to hear it in the Deejay Om/Breakself mix that was posted up here the other day. Some other favorites that are on YouTube: "It's Good to Be Alive" "Love Brought Me Back" …

so many good records in that mix. I heavily recommend downloading and donating.

J, chill. Given how rich and diverse Bay Area rap music is, there was no way anyone could have made a list that would please anybody. I could quibble with some song choices but overall I think it was really solid. FWIW, the dude who p…

I used to visit the Wake-Up Show all the time starting in 1992. They used to tape using two studios at KMEL-- one for Sway, Tech and other people they put on mic and one in which Joe Quixx was set up with turntables, a mixer, DAT, reel-to-r…

Wow, there's lots of good stuff on there I'd never heard before-- the Barrino Brothers track Rockadelic likes is one of the few I recognized. Nice work!

My favorite out of the first half-dozen strong contenders that came to mind ("Ooh Baby Baby", "Baby, Baby Don't Cry", "Show Me You Can Dance", "Choosey Beggar", "You've Really Got a Hold On Me"): "More Love"

"Hey Joe" and "Comin' Home Baby" are very difficult to ruin. Someone may have succeeded in doing so but it must have taken a lot of effort.
