Most hardcore bands I've seen encourage it. Not Fugazi though, when i saw them they stopped playing until everybody calmed down, and Ian MacKaye argued with some guy for awhile

on this 2xlp im pretty sure at least one side is all synth sounds, not really musical...have to dig it out and give it a listen.
