  • I don't have any recommendations, but I also love these records, esp. the Inerane. Dude from Doueh is Some of the most unique guitar sounds I've ever heard.
  • Jungle Bros. On the Road Again
  • My name is Nathaniel Jordan LeBlanc. I plan on occasionally posting when I am bored at work. Gotta lotta real life friends up in this piece. This is the only picture of myself I had in my photobucket.
  • After Age's wedding (this dude straight up murdered maybe 12 tacos... that's a conservative estimate) I should have known you would know the real deal. I'll hit you up soon.
  • Wuddup Chaz! It's not like there aren't many good ones, but Metro Balderas has become the spot. I don't even like tripe, but their tripas tacos are next level. What's your spot?
  • Tacos. After years as a dedicated burrito eater, I've come to appreciate the relative lightness and the aforementioned simplicity of tacos. And I found the ill spot to get them in my hometown finally.
  • No joke, as I was reading this, a customer came in to sell us this cd:
  • LPs/12s are mostly alphabetized and by genre: rap soul (includes funk and some intl) classic rock (includes some blues and country) indie rock jazz spoken elctroacoustic, etc International (a ridiculous section that has to go-- Francoise Hardy nex…
  • That track made my morning, thanks for posting. Between this and Jockin Jay-Z, I'm very excited for Jay's new album.
  • Have you checked out Five Corners Quintet? they are spot on modern dancefloor jazz as well. Kinda off-topic, but I also really like this record and sound in general.
  • ~60% I don't use them for generic label sleeves, dollar records, or most of the records I play out most often, though they probably need them the most.
  • Finally got a chance to listen. I think it's ok, which means it's his best since 'both sides'. I deleted the spanish track immediately, that was embarrasing. Really enjoyed Slick Rick's verse, he took a very unique slant on the concept. Still too mu…

  • I ride for American Beauty. I grew up with it, so I'm biased, but I think it's a very solid folk rock album.
  • I really liked the "What have you done" 45, but haven't heard the full-length yet. In the New York Times Magazine article on the label, Gabe Roth spoke briefly about the challenges of writing contemporary soul gospel as a non-religious person. I'm i…
  • Love it. Got my shipment today, and it had about 10 of the thin cardboard promos, I've been blessing friends with it as they come by. A really excellent piece of work all the way around from the arrangements to the sound to the packaging, etc.
  • 8 I think: Mexico (x5) Netherlands Germany Italy France Spain Portugal UK (london) top of the want list: japan canada (so close, so far away) Costa Rica
  • Redwood City, CA
  • Saturday. I had gotten rid of about 6 boxes of records, but there were thousands more to be moved across town and up stairs. Couldn't have done it without my bros.
  • I had the best oysters of my life fresh out of the water on the beach in mexico in october. Other times, not so much. Seems like freshness is the key.
  • REM sleep and Soul Boulders (possibly my favorite/most listened-to mix of all time) Josh, if you're reading this, I found out that Traffic still had copies of Soul Boulders and I've sold 24 copies since September. People are still feenin for the r…
  • I do not. My boss is the only person I've ever met who is mentally incapable of multi-tasking. She literally must only do one thing at a time. The fact that she is my superior is often infuriating.
  • This was on the cover of GOOD magazine about a year ago, as if to imply that being too lazy to walk was somehow conscious/revolutionary.
  • Bay area heads interested in unloading rap records can holler at me. Streetlight records in san jose, i work sunday through wednesday. I buy collections and single pieces, can pay in cash, check , or trade, and am open to housecalls in some cases. 4…
  • I saw him on his second night out at the beautiful Paramount Theater in Oakland. Though it was great to see him, and quite moving at times, I was not feeling most of the arrangements; many of his later hits were way too saxy for me. When he did his …
  • I'm listening to it a lot. Don't have an OG so I can't compare the sound quality, but it sounds great on my sh!tty set-up. Double wax, 2-3 songs per side, nice wide grooves. Comes with a giant poster that makes me wish I had a garage to hang it in. …
  • Dude is lookin mad Mickey Rourke in the pic on the right.
  • El Nueva Yorker My parents give me their pack issues of sports illustrated (5 mins) and rolling stone (5 mins unless matt taibi has a particularly entertaining rant) Recently let the Atlantic and harper's lapse, though I'll pick up an issue here o…

  • I ride. One of the "gateway" artists that made me want to dig deeper when I started colecting.
  • I sell rap records every day in my shop and online. While they may not pull in the type of loot they used to, there are still plenty of people who want them. Of course, this is the bay area where there are still lots of wannabe/bedroom DJ types. O…
