Most of the decent "sound" comes from the heads and tuning etc... In that price range you will see many good Ludwig and Rogers sets from the early 80's. It's all the cymbals hardware that gets costly.

Yeah it's for archiving records and CD's before I sell them. I would like high quality but just not sure about AAC all the way either. Also... nobody ever answered whether or not dildo/microwave plays AAC format without any problems? Thanks!
